  • 簡介：
福建省廈門人，南京大學社會學院教授、博士生導師、社會文化人類學研究所所長，南京大學-約翰斯霍普金斯大學中美文化研究中心教授。兼為中國人類學民族學研究會常務理事、美國人類學學會(America Anthropological Association)會員、美國亞洲研究學會(Association of Asian Studies)會員、美國西部亞洲學會(Western Association of Asian Studies)會員、現代世界伊斯蘭國際研究所（International Institute for the Study of Islam in the Modern World)會員、Journal of China in Comparative Perspectives （LSE）編委、中國民族學人類學研究會常務理事、中國田野調查基金(中山大學人類學系和信孚教育集團)學術委員、香港大學Journal of Oriental Studies （《東方研究》）匿名審稿人、《中國研究》（China Studies）編委、《中國人類學評論》編委等。本科畢業于廈門大學歷史系考古專業，在華盛頓大學（西雅圖）獲得博士學位（Ph.D.）。赴美留學之前曾任教于廈門大學人類學系。
